Petrol Prices to Drop; LPG and Propane Costs to Rise This Weekend

by admin477351

Motorists using high-octane petrol in Europe can expect a slight relief at the pumps as prices for SuperPlus 98 petrol (E5) are set to decrease by 3.7 cents to €1.899 per litre, starting midnight on Friday, October 30. In contrast, those who rely on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and propane for residential use will face increased costs over the weekend.

From Saturday, October 31, LPG prices are anticipated to rise by 2.9 cents to €0.972 per litre, and residential propane will see an increase to €0.953 per litre. These adjustments highlight a shift in fuel pricing where, while drivers of vehicles requiring SuperPlus 98 petrol benefit from reduced costs, households and consumers dependent on LPG and propane must brace for higher expenses.

The latest fuel prices effective October 31 reflect these changes: EuroSuper 95 (E10) remains at €1.759 per litre, Diesel (B7) is priced at €2.11 per litre, and heating fuel stands at €1.601 per litre. Meanwhile, bottled propane is set at €2.459 per kilogram, and bottled butane at €2.262 per kilogram.

These price adjustments underscore the variability in fuel costs that consumers must navigate, with implications for both transportation budgets and household energy expenses. As these changes take effect, consumers may need to adjust their budgets accordingly, especially those relying heavily on LPG and propane for heating and other residential uses.
