In the wake of jeweller Mario Roggero’s imprisonment, Italian President Sergio Mattarella has issued a warning against modifying laws to cater to specific cases. Roggero was sentenced to nearly 15 years in prison for the fatal shooting of two robbers and injuring a third during a robbery in 2021.
